Our Story

After years of blowing minds as a totally unique & satisfying snack food, my hot & spicy pickles are now available to the public just as I've made them over the years for friends & family. If you enjoy hot & spicy food as much as I do I think that you'll love my Hot & Spicy Pickles.

I've always loved pickles. I've been making my Hot & Spicy Pickles for about 10 years. It started with a bumper crop of Kirby cukes from our garden in Rumson, New Jersey. I simply reloaded them into the brine from a jar of pickles that we'd just finished. From there I began making them to suit my own taste while exploring traditional and heirloom recipes. I came up with 2 flavors: "Molsey Mild" and "Rocket Calienté", named for our dogs, Molson and Jetta. It is my original "Rocket Calienté" formula from Ridge Road in Rumson that I now offer as my Hot & Spicy Pickles.

We gave some to our neighbors and quickly got back empty Mason jars and requests for more. I started taking them to dinner parties & potluck dinners and was amazed that the pickles out shined the main course. What really got my attention was when my two 80-year-old aunts polished off a jar in one sitting up at Lake George one summer. The aunties know from good food and I realized I had something with a totally different flavor & texture. I laid the ground work for the company in 2005 and launched in late 2008 to ime-diate success. Our local green market Sickle's loved 'em and stocked 'em and Whole Foods Markets put them into their North East stores. I invite you to try my Hot & Spicy Pickles. I think you'll love 'em as much as we all do.
